Reconciling

Import a bank statement, let Nummio match it against your books, and clear the rest by hand.

Importing a statement

Export a CSV from your bank and import it. Nummio recognizes the format for a number of common banks and card issuers out of the box; anything else walks through a short mapping step the first time.

Matching

Statement lines and transactions in your books are matched automatically on amount, date, and how closely the vendor name lines up, each with a confidence score. Matched pairs collapse out of the way so what's left is what actually needs you.

What's left over

The reconciliation screen puts statement lines on one side and your books on the other. A statement line with nothing to match can be turned into a new expense right there, which goes through the same categorization as anything else you capture. A transaction with no matching statement line gets flagged so you can look into it.

Finishing a reconciliation

A reconciliation is complete only when the reconciled balance in your books equals the statement's ending balance exactly — not close, not rounded. Once it matches, completing it is recorded and shows up in the audit log.
